Ray Pusey — Facilities Director
Born and raised in a Christian home with his mother and father both instilling solid Christian values into his life, Ray has been part of the Red Lion spiritual family since childhood. At age ten, he was saved during a chapel service at Elkton Christian School when his soccer coach led him to the Lord.
After graduating from Elkton, Ray received a B.S. in Physical Education and Health from the University of Delaware. He was also signed as a free agent by the New York Yankees and played for two months before beginning a 15 year career teaching physical education and Bible, and coaching baseball and soccer. Feeling God’s calling on his life to serve both the church and school here at Red Lion, Ray became FacilitiesDirector in June, 2006. He has often said “There’s no place I’d rather be than here at Red Lion”. Ray considers it a privilege to be a part of the mission his father started back in 1978.
In 1999, Ray put together a ministry in the form of a Christian band called ‘Sum of One”, which plays nearly 30 concerts and ministers to 4,000 people each year. His passion for music also serves well as he enjoys leading worship on Sunday mornings in our contemporary worship services. He has been married to wife Tami for 12 years and they have two children. He credits his wife as his driving force of support for both work and ministry. His favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. |
