Impact groups

We are excited about all that God is doing in our Impact Ministry. God created us for deep, authentic relationships and community with one another. IMPACT groups provide the kind of life-giving fellowship that builds the body of Christ here at Red Lion. They are an important way for everyone to become connected with others in our spiritual family and experience the power of transforming relationships, where individuals build up one another in love and support. As a result our IMPACT Ministry is one of the ways God is helping our spiritual family grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Presently we have six IMPACT groups meeting on a regular basis. These groups appeal to a diverse mix of our spiritual family from seniors to parents of young children. Our groups focus on a variety of topics from parenting to spiritual health to missions. Pastor Jamie meets regularly with the IMPACT leaders and their families for times of prayer and training.

In 2008, we desire to see our IMPACT ministry grow in two areas. First, our desire is to add new groups as more people are expressing a desire to be a part of an IMPACT group. Second, our desire is to increase the amount of individuals attending all of our IMPACT groups to reach a larger percentage of our congregation. We know when a family becomes an active part of an IMPACT group, God changes their lives. We encourage each of you to consider joining an IMPACT group; we are confident the Lord will bless you in this area!

Fellowship for Seniors: Love Connection

3rd Saturdays, 12:30 pm Contact: Renee Miller or Becky Hansel. 
Seniors are invited to this group that meets for prayer, fellowship and the connection we all desire.

Gary Smalley Parenting Series
  
1st & 3rd Fridays, 6:30 pm  Contact: Chuck & Pam Mayer 
You and your children are invited to join us for fellowship and study, which centers around family and parenting topics. We start with a shared potluck dinner, then the adults watch a teaching video and have a time of prayer, we end with dessert and fellowship. A sitter is provided at a shared cost during the teaching. This group’s last meeting for the summer is April 11.

Spiritual Health

1st & 3rd Sundays, 4:00 pm  Contact: Jay & Leanne Mankus
You and your children are invited to join us for play, fellowship and discussion. Our group focuses on playing with our children in a God honoring way; we start with games and a practical scriptural devotion implementing a Christian Biblical Worldview,
followed by dinner and discussion for adults. We conclude by lifting up any prayer requests from our group.

Henry Blackaby’s Experiencing God

2nd & 4th Sundays, 4:30 pm  Contact: Bryan & Heather Rash  
You & your children are invited to join us for study & fellowship. Discussion centers around knowing & doing the will of God, ending in prayer. After, we have dinner. We’ll provide the main dish; please bring a side dish, beverage or dessert. Childcare is provided at a shared cost; call for the location of the next meeting. This group will continue to meet through the summer.

Ephesians

2nd & 4th Sundays, 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm Contact: Carl & Rebecca Armstrong 
You and your children are invited to join us for fellowship and study. We are studying the book of Ephesians and include a time of prayer for our church missionaries and other mission organizations. We will start with dinner and fellowship and provide the main dish; please bring a side dish or dessert.  This group’s last meeting for the summer is May 25.
